Bonnie's Story

Meet Bonnie!

Bonnie is a 6-year-old, 60-pound bundle of personality who’s ready to find her forever home. She came to us from a local county animal control and has been patiently waiting since 1/16/2026 for her second chance. Bonnie is social, outgoing, and full of energy when she’s excited, but she also knows how to settle in for quiet, affectionate moments. She’s the kind of dog who brings joy wherever she goes.

Because of her size and playful nature, Bonnie would do best in a home with older children. She has done well meeting other dogs here at the shelter, and with thoughtful introductions, she may enjoy having a canine companion in her new home. We ask that any children in the household meet her prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for everyone.

Bonnie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives—ready to leave shelter life behind. If you’re interested in meeting Bonnie or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org. After waiting since January, she’s more than ready to meet her forever family!

Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise.
