Recently released from a breeding farm, Bolton is experiencing the kindness of humans for the first time, and he has proven to be as sweet as they come.<br/><br/>Foster Update: <br/>Bolton has been settling in our home very nicely! I imagine your first thought is Bolton, that must mean that he likes to run aka bolt..... actually, he doesn't. I'm not sure about the decision regarding his name but I can tell you that this guy is more of a "Walker" and less of a "Bolton". Maybe he's traded in his running shoes for an easier pace. He likes to go on walks and walks nicely on a leash. He knows when we've turned around to head back home because that's when he'll pick up the pace a little. <br/><br/>He's not shown any interest in toys as I imagine coming from a breeding farm, he didn't have those growing up. He's curious about what everyone is doing but he's not adventurous and he keeps to the areas that he knows or feels comfortable with. <br/><br/>Bolton is a true companion and likes to be nearby. He would make a great work buddy because he's so easy going and doesn't demand attention perfect for someone that works from home, has hobbies in the yard/garage or if your office is pet-friendly then he's happy to tag along! Dalmatian's are smart social dogs that flourish with mental stimulation. Bolton works for treats and extra nap time! He's the perfect mix that he's in great shape to be physically active but he also enjoys things pretty low key. <br/><br/>So far he's not a lap dog but he does appreciate pets and positive attention. He is currently fostered with 3 other dogs- 2 small and 1 large. He has done fabulous with all of them from the minute that he walked into the door. He's not interested in playing with them yet, sometimes that takes a few weeks but he does like to sniff them and see what they're doing. He only barks when he hears the other large dog barking at something. We cannot adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. We are unable to guarantee the breeds of our dogs.<br/>WI License #270548.
