Meet Bolt!!<br/><br/>Bolt was a long term stray who was shot and ended up at Tulsa animal welfare a high kill shelter. We had seen and fed him multiple times on the streets but never had room to take him in. When we saw him at the shelter, we had to get him out. Unfortunately, his life on the streets made him distrusting of men and we assume a man who is assaulted him with a weapon so he doesn't do great meeting them at first. Bolt would definitely do better with women, or a single woman. He has had success with packing up with other dogs and made friends but he did have an altercation with an intact male once. Bolt is not good with children or cats. <br/> <br/>We have not be able to find him a foster home nor an adopter. any adopter will need to understand he may need a meet and greet or 2 to be comfortable. He is absolutely wonderful with us because he knows us. hes never had an accident in his kennel or in the house, he isn't destructive and he isnt a barker. he enjoys toys, and leisurely sun bathing in a privacy fenced yard. he knows basic obedience and will kennel up with ease. He is a low maintenance grateful older dog who needs a chance at a forever home. Bolt is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment at our expense. he has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is on preventions.
