We are requiring that Bojack goes to a home with another dog (or more than one). Please only apply if you meet this criteria, or be prepared to be matched with another dog in our program!

Meet Bojack! Bojack is a young, average sized guy at around 1 year old and 55lbs. When Bojack first came to ACR he needed an amputation due to an old, poorly healed, leg injury that was causing him a lot of pain but now that he has recovered, he’s got a bright future ahead of him despite the many adventures (and misadventures) that lead him to us. Because dog pals make Bo so much more comfortable, we are requiring that Bojack go to a home with another dog (or more!).

While Bojack’s beginnings may have been a little rough he is settling into home life well with his foster mom. Bo is already crate-trained and housebroken! He’d prefer to be out of his crate where the party is, but when he’s asked to he will politely settle in for a nap like the goodest boy he is. He quickly mastered “sit” after his recovery and each day he’s learning that lots of people can be kind and loving!

As long as he has a dog pal for support, Bo can be quite the chameleon! He’s a young and energetic guy; a very fun-loving pup that enjoys playing with canine pals, but can take the hint when others aren’t interested in romping around with him. He is visibly happy at the dog park and runs around like he was born without that pesky second back leg. He says it makes him more aerodynamic, which is perfect for his adorable playtime zoomies. Bojack currently lives with a couple cat friends who aren’t too keen on becoming his BFFs, and Bo is very respectful of that! He leaves them alone and they co-exist very well.

In terms of his human friends, Bojack is very shy when he meets adults, but once he warms up, his foster mom says he is very sweet and affectionate. He runs down the stairs to greet her when she gets home, armed with lots of excitement and tail wags. With kids, Bo will walk right up and ask for some pets – small humans are much less intimidating. If he has a confident canine companion to show him the ropes Bojack’s personality blossoms so much faster. Because of his background and shy nature, Bo needs to live in a home that has another dog, preferably one that is confident. We will only consider applications for Bo who have other dog(s). Bo tends to shadow the behavior of the dog in his home, and thus, he adjusts better when there is a dog. He seems to need an emotional support dog to continue giving him that confidence boost he needs to navigate his way through this big wide world, which is okay!

Bojack has a permanent happy puppy face, and the boy brings joy to everyone who has the privilege to know him. Bo may even be part-rabbit because some of his favorite treats are lettuce and carrots, and he’ll do just about anything you ask of him for a veggie treat! Once Bo accepts his people, he shows them unyielding affection and loyalty.

Are you ready to make this precious boy a part of your pack and earn the title of Bo’s Best Friend Forever? Contact us today about meeting Bojack!
