Boe's Story
Speckles anyone? Who is a sucker for speckles? How about if they're attached to a handsome hound. Boe brings it all including speckles, hound-
i-ness, fabulous markings and a jaw dropping tri colored coat. Boe is an adult hound who weighs about 40 lbs now and is a little underweight but is small for hound standards. This young man is full of life and energy and
loves to be on the move and take it all in. You will never be short on zest with Boe around. Hiking, wandering, running, adventuring? Boe can do it all. He is a social dude who enjoys the company of others, dogs and humans alike, and would definitely do better in a home that offers regular exercise and doesn't mind a hound howl or two when the need calls for it. Boe is ready to coming bounding into your life!
*Sleepover feedback: "Had the best weekend! Boe is an amazing dog. I love him!! He is very friendly. He wags his tail when passing people on the street. He would be fantastic in a home with children and a big yard. He is great on leash, and a good listener. He loved Eno River and Umpsted State Park. He is also a great buddy to take on drives- he just sits in the back and chills! He is very calm for a hound. He was truly a joy to host, and I HIGHLY recommend him for adoption".
**Hiking feedback: "He'd make a great hiking buddy for anyone - stayed focused on the trail and didn't get too distracted by the sights and smells. During breaks, he would have been happy to keep walking! Boe tended to keep to himself, but was great with other dogs and people around".
*Sleepover feedback: " Little dude is hilarious. All ears, legs and feet. He would be perfect in a house with no other pets. He is a decent walker, no excessive begging of human food and there were zero accidents in the house. No interaction with other dogs or kids but he is inquisitive about the scent of a nearby horse, lol. He's definitely made us giggle quite a few times and we would host another weekend sleepover with him anytime".

Latest Host Feedback: "Bo is a good guy that just needed to get comfortable. Some basic training - sit, stay and house manners and he will be the best boy! He gets energetic and grabs everything in his mouth, not to chew but to play. And I mean everything - cords, blankets, and he loves shoes. He will counter-surf, but takes correction pretty easy. Wasn't sure of stairs at first but picked it up pretty easy. Didn't seem to want to snuggle but wants to be by you. Good on leash, good in car and potty habits were fine. He is a good little guy!"
