Bodie (Bobo)'s Story

Bodie (AKA Bobo), is a beautiful 5 year old rough coated JRT. He is healthy 16 lbs. JRT and has the energy to go with it. Bodie was adopted during COVID and has spent his entire life with our family. He was a present for my 10-year-old son (at the time), but unfortunately circumstances dictate that we must find him a new home. He is currently located in Fredericksburg VA.
Bobo currently lives with two other JRTs, a 9-year-old female, and a 7-year-old male. Bobo is a “male” JRT and has all the traits to go with it. He is a lover, a snuggler, and prefers to hang with my son, than the other dogs. Bobo and our other male are both “Alphas” and we have had altercations between them, but once you pull them apart they are partners in crime again. With another male, bobo will be protective of toys and even people.
Bobo is house and crate trained, but he has no issues marking his territories! I think this mainly because of the other male JRT in the house. Bobo sleeps with me or my son usually and loves to sleep against someone’s back. We have a large fenced in yard, so he is used running and barking at anything that come near the yard. Bobo, like all JRT’s, prefers to be closest to her humans, on the sofa and in bed!
Bobo is leashed trained and can walk as long as you can and will chase anything that moves- so a fenced in back yard might be ideal for him. He will run and chase things, but will come back as soon as you ask (not yell) him to. He has no problems traveling or just hanging around the house. The passenger window has plenty of nose streaks as she watches everything! Bobo will stand at the window and let you know who is walking by, if someone is at the door and if the trash man is there.
Bodie is a great dog. I would not even consider rehoming him if my situation was different. Bobo would do great with children and other female dogs. I would be cautious with other male dogs, especially if they are “alphas” or aggressive. There is no “back down” in him at all!
He is a great dog and deserves a great owner/family.
CONTACT:
David Troyer
540-840-6385
4troyer@gmail.com
