Bodhi's Story

Introducing our handsome guy BODHI!

We are happy to offer Bodhi to a family looking for a mild-mannered fella and a faithful friend and companion. Bodhi is about 3 years old and hovers around 55 pounds. He was found as a stray and never claimed by a family, the story of so many abandoned dogs these days.

He must have had a home because he is naturally engaging and has good house manners. He enjoys the comfort of his comfy crate or lounging on the couch. Bodhi LOVES his walks, whether its in a neighborhood, in a park or on the trails. His foster mom says he has been a pleasure to have as a walking companion and has excellent leash manners.

He is endearing of people, happy and polite to meet them. He appreciates a slower, respectful meeting with other dogs, and happy to be friends with the lower key personalities. He has made several neighborhood canine friends who he enjoys having as walking adventure/sniffari partners!. His recall skills are making great progress, especially if a squeaky toy is involved!

Speaking of toys... Bring on all the toys and if they squeak, well thats just a heavenly sound! A durable squeaky toy will have lots of parties with this boy! No need for TV with the entertainment you will get from living with Bodhi. Lots of laughter therapy with this goofy guy , especially if there is a basket full of things that squeak! Oh, and water... probably his 2nd favorite thing in life! Splish splashing away whenever water is available!

Bodhi has a very calm demeaner, a go with the flow boy and we would say he is a Medium Energy kinda guy. He loves his daily walks and appreciates a good fetch or tug game with one of his favorite toys. He has been respectful of the kiddos that he has met that have ranged in ages over 8 years old. He needs coaching getting into the Car, but once in the car he enjoys the car ride and ready for whatever the next adventure will bring.

Bodhi is ready to start a new chapter with a family who wants to enjoy living each moment to the fullest, whether its with his squeaky toys or a good nap session on the couch. He is an undemanding; low maintenance appreciative guy and were excited to help him find his tribe!

If you are interested in more information, please submit our application at this link.
https://longtraildogs.org/adoption-application/

If you would like to help Bodhi find his tribe, please share a million times!

Bodhi is being fostered in Ascutney, VT
