(ok for short periods).

My Story: Bodhi was in a small kennel for a year and 5 months, so almost half of his young life, and he and the other dogs only got one walk a week! He was spinning in circles and it was very hot half the year and dirty. He was thin. Now on San Juan Island he has his own bed, had a bath, gained weight and turns out to be a very good looking Malinois. Bodhi is a leaner and loves all people. He is eager to play with dogs but needs training to be non-reactive with cats and small dogs. At first, he didn’t know what to do with toys. Bodhi eagerly jumps in the car, likes car rides and has been going for lots of walks. He quickly learned sit and down, and several other tricks; he loves working, doing things, learning things. His adopted mom can not keep him, but loves him and only wants the best for him and to find his forever home. He is an awesome Belgian and ideally lands with his forever family who are active and have a fenced-in area, another dog, and are willing to train him more. He needs a bit more loose leash and crate training, but we are half-way there already.

Being a Malinois, he is loyal, affectionate, eager to work and learn and is smart. Because of his difficult past, he is so appreciative of all the wonderful things that are happening in his life and wants to meet you.

If you would like to know more about Bodhi and get connected with his people for a meet and greet, please reach out to APS-FH at shelter@apsfh.com for more information or call 360-378-2158.
