Boba's Story

Boba is a two year old schnauzer with a very sassy personality.

Sweet Boba was an owner turn in to animal control because they knew they could not take care of her anymore. We shaved over a pound of matted fur from her.

She is very apprehensive meeting new people, but luckily that only lasts for about 5 minutes before she becomes your best friend. She would do best bring your one and only friend or with a very submissive doggie friend that will let her be the boss or leave her alone completely. She is fine with kitty friends.

Boba would be great with older children who respect her boundaries, she does love to play though, with kids, and adults. She will play with toys all day. She is learning gentle nibbles with hands. She is not aggressive but doesn't know sometimes her play bites are a little too hard.

She does know "off, stay, no, sit and good girl"

Boba would prefer to only be picked up on her terms, and will let you know if she's unhappy about it. She is a true lap dog, and prefers to be on your lap at all times, unless she is playing

Boba will need someone who is home a lot, when you leave she does bark. She calms down after a bit, but she does have that schnuauzer scream like bark so apartment living may not be for her.

She is completely house-trained and crate trained and sleeps in bed with her foster parents.

She will make a great doggie friend to many different people, as long as they respect her boundaries and give her the time to warm up to her .

If you are interested, complete the

Adoption Application
on our website at
www.NeedyPaws.org
and we will contact you.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Boba’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
