Meet Boba.<br/><br/>At around 16 weeks old and just over 20 pounds, Boba is believed to be a hound mix with legs for days, paws the size of dinner plates, and a very good chance of becoming a big boy. Found as a stray in the South, hes now learning that people, couches, and belly rubs are actually pretty awesome.<br/><br/>Boba is not your typical puppy. Sure, hell happily untie your shoes and believes every object deserves a quick taste test, but once thats out of the way, hes ready for his next nap. While other puppies are doing laps around the yard, Boba is wondering if anyone would like to join him on the couch for a nice cuddle and maybe a nap in the sunshine.<br/><br/>We like to say Boba is still figuring out how to be a dog. New things can make him a little nervous, but his tail rarely stops wagging, and once he realizes everything is okay, hes all in. His giant puppy eyes could convince almost anyone to hand over unlimited ear scratches. But if you stop too soon, expect a gentle paw smack reminding you that your job isnt finished.<br/><br/>If youve noticed he moves a little differently than most puppies, dont worry! Boba has had the full VIP veterinary workup—X-rays, bloodwork, and more and hes a healthy boy. Hes just a little gangly and still trying to coordinate those extra-long legs. Think baby giraffe but with floppy ears.<br/><br/>Boba is doing an amazing job with house and crate training and hasnt had an accident in his foster home. Which doesnt mean he wont still need work once in a new home. <br/><br/>Hes wonderful with children, gentle with kids as young as four, and absolutely loves other dogs. He enjoys a little playtime, but honestly? Hes much happier cuddling with his dog friends than body-slamming them.<br/><br/>Boba is looking for a family that will help him continue building confidence while appreciating that not every puppy comes with a nonstop zoomie setting. Some puppies are chaos.
