At 12 years old, he enjoys staying close to his people and would love a home filled with steady affection, gentle routines, and the comfort of simply being near his humans.<br/><br/>Bo has lived as an only dog but has been socialized with other dogs his size. If placed in a home with a canine companion, a thoughtful, slow introduction will be important. We feel he would do best with dogs his size, no dogs that are dominant. He has been cat-tested and would not be appropriate for a cat household, as he shows too much interest and reactivity. Bo's previous owner reports that he has been around children, and has done well.<br/><br/>He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and consistently maintained on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He has had recent bloodwork and a fecal test, both of which came back clear. Bo has a very small cherry eye that is mild and does not require surgery. Due to his age, he has some mild hearing loss, but he can still hear the sound of a treat/cookie bag being crinkled so his quality of life is not impacted. <br/><br/>Bo is being rehomed due to his owner transitioning into a nursing home. This decision was made with deep care and love, and our priority is finding him a safe, stable, and nurturing home where he can truly enjoy his golden years.<br/><br/>Bo devotedly cared for his elderly owner — yes, you read that right. He provided steady companionship, comfort, and emotional regulation for many years... He was and is deeply loved, and his well-being means everything to us at the rescue.<br/><br/>In Bo's early years, he was a a graduate in his pyppy class. Bo is house broken and knows how to sit. Bo has experince with being walked on a leash and can be a bit strong. Over the years, he has done less walking on a leash, and has been let out into a big year to go to the bathroom. <br/><br/>Bo is a gentle, affectionate soul who will make a wonderful companion for the right family. He will be freshly groomed before going to his new home. When adopted, Bo will come with his food, treats, and comfort items to help ease his transition.<br/><br/>We are open to working closely with an approved foster or adopter to ensure Bo maintains a wonderful quality of life.
