BLYTHE's Story
Hi! My name is Blythe! I'm 3 years old and weigh about 76 pounds. I'm a big, strong girl, but I take treats gently! I've been here a long time, but I've been making the most of it! I love working with the volunteer dog trainers. They've taught me to walk nicely on a loose leash and to be calm around other dogs. I'm making great progress! I'd do best with an active adopter who's committed to continuing to train me using positive reinforcement. Someone who will take me on regular walks and provide mental enrichment would be great, too! I might not come off as my best self when you see me in my kennel, but please don't make your mind up based on that. Ask to have someone take me out so you can see the real me! I may do well with another calm, social dog, so bring yours in to meet me! I may also do well with older/sturdier kids. Please give me a chance to be your girl! I'm currently in a foster home, so please contact the Adoptions team at 301-733-2060 option 3 or adoptions@hswcmd.org. My foster shared the following: Blythe loves being outside, whether lying in the sun, chasing birds and butterflies, or playing with her toys in the yard. She is a big girl and is still learning but responds positively to structure and encouragement. I'm a star! Check me out on The Pawcast!
