Bluey is a handsome and well mannered big boy who needs someone gentle, patient and willing to take the time it needs to help Bluey feel safe and confident. He may take some time to open up to you, but it is so worth it in the end. Bluey is a great candidate to be a "side by side" buddy for walks on leash with well mannered friends rather than a play partner, as play time with dogs can be a bit too exciting for him. He would do best in a single dog home. Volunteers love to take him for walks on the River Path. He is a favorite at the shelter, given his laid-back attitude. He liked the walk even if he took his time, up and down to FLC, up and down Main Avenue. We had Buckley Park to ourselves, and Bluey took the opportunity to relax under ideal temps. He was shy around people who wanted to pet him, so we took it slow.
