Blueberry's Story

Blueberry is a unique looking one year old husky who is looking for his very own home. Somewhere that loves a dog who is good with kids, cats and other dogs so they can take him everywhere with them. Blueberry is ripe and ready to belong in a family who will laugh at his teenaged ways and embrace his sweetness.

Blueberry comes from a northern community and even though he looks serious in all photos, he is definitely not. This beauty with the blue eyes and dalmation type markings is definitely more fun and goofy than he is professorial. Blueberry has the independence of the husky breed which simply means he is not needy or cloying - nope, he is social and loving but not a space invader. He can be touched all over and even picked up for a lap visit and he just giggles.

Blueberry is good with all the dogs he meets and enjoys romping offleash with his foster friends. He is curious but trustworthy with the cats and he loves meeting kids on his leash walks. As with most dogs who have not been on a leash before, Blueberry is working on not pulling and with conistency and patience, he's catching on. That's what foster school is all bout - learning the ropes with treats and lots of high voice praise.

Blueberry is looking for a husky loving family who wants to welcome a young, handsome, silly billy into the fold. Blueberry will do well in all sorts of environments as long as his people live active and interesting lives. His new peeps need to be ready to be stopped on the street because Blueberry's looks and vibe are pretty rockstar.

Look deep into those Frank Sinatra blue eyes and you will be under his spell. You will find yourself automatically filling out and application.... you won't be able to help yourself. Do it. Go now.... application link BELOW.

Blueberry is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee $750.

Adoption process includes application, virtual home visit, phone interview, reference check, meet & greet, adoption contract and $750 adoption fee.

***Fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION at:
https://signup.ifaw.org/en-ca/northern-dogs-adoption-application-form

Northern Dogs Project's Adoption Policy
Northern dogs are not a breed but a lifestyle. Until recently most dogs were free roaming but communities are now making changes to how they want to coexist with dogs and many are now tying. Dogs are all identified by Animal Care and are adopted to families in the south as family members only. Northern dogs are smart, experienced, dog social, have been handled by kids, feel safe with women, and are slightly unsure of men at first. Dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (core vaccines DAPP and rabies), microchipped and dewormed.
