Blueberry 's Story
Meet Blueberry!
This kid is about 5 months old and 6/7 lbs.
Adoption Fee $595
Blueberry has been well socialized with humans and other dogs. She is good with children. She loves her crate and rides well in the car. Blue has age appropriate vaccines, is spayed, chipped, current on preventatives, has had her inguinal hernia repaired and is ready for her family!
From her foster mom:
Blueberry is the kind of puppy who will melt your heart. When she spots one of her favorite humans, her whole body wiggles right along with her tail. It's hard not to melt right along with her! She adores gentle children, loves curling up in a warm lap with a good bone or toy to chew on, and has a gift for becoming your little shadow around the house. She'll smother you with kisses and rub under your chin like a cat!
She may be small, but she's got opinions. If a bigger dog tries to take her bone or tries to move in on her food, Blueberry will sass them away without a second thought, like the tiny lady she is. Living with other small dogs is absolutely fine by her — she's practically been raised by a pack. She loves to play, but will also respect her elders if directed.
The outside world is still a little much for Blueberry — she's building up her courage one adventure at a time. She feels most at home playing with her toys inside, tucked into her crate, or in your lap. With patience and gentle encouragement, she's ready to put on her bravest face to go outside every day.

Here are the basics of how adoption from Palmetto Paws works. Please READ IN FULL PRIOR to completing an application. Most of your questions are answered here. -Completing an application does not guarantee an adoption.
-Please DO NOT complete an application if you are not ready to adopt immediately- we only consider applications for those applicants ready and available on the Saturday of the week the application is submitted.
-All applications submitted receive an auto response detailing the process as well as the same details here.
-Dogs reside in private foster homes. We do not host events and there is no opportunity to view multiple dogs.
-We take many things into consideration when reviewing applications. -The age to be considered for adoption is 25.
- As we receive many applications for our pups we will only be in touch with the selected applicant to arrange a meet/potential adoption. -The question regarding heartworm disease must be answered in full. We feel all adopters should be knowledgeable about heartworm disease and the basics can be found online if you are unfamiliar with it. All current household pets must be up to date on vaccines, preventives and be spayed/neutered for adoption consideration. -We will not process applications that are not for a specific dog listed on our Petfinder site.
-We do not process and "hold" applications. We do not ship dogs and we do not arrange transports. All adopters must be present to complete the adoption. -We do consider out of state applicants as long as the applicant is willing to come to Charleston to complete the adoption. If an adopter is approved we do a “meet and greet” with a specific dog or pup. If at the meet we all agree it’s a good match, then the adoption takes place at that time. Their is no opportunity to meet and adopt at a later date. -Please keep in mind that we do our best to make an educated guess as to the breeds of our rescued pets. In rescue we rarely see the parents of the puppies, and even when we do, they are usually mixed breeds as well. We will never promise a particular breed or adult size. We do our best to put all info we have in the bio. -We will not respond to inquires regarding information that is already detailed in the bio.
-Adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (unless the rescue Veterinarian deems the pup/dog will need to be adopted on a SN contract), have age appropriate vaccines, are current on hw and flea preventatives and are microchipped. All adopters are provided with a medical summary, a new collar and leash, a few toys and chews, food to get started, an opportunity to go over basic training/pet care and help shopping for supplies if needed.
-If interested in adoption please submit an application! The application is below- please complete in full as incomplete applications are not considered:
https://form.jotform.com/250175174725154
