He and his companion Kimber were brought to a veterinary clinic to be euthanized — Nick stepped in and took them both. That was the turning point. Blue has been with Camp Patriot ever since, and in that time he's settled into a goofy, talkative Husky who absolutely loves attention and affection. While he's independent by nature, he thrives on being loved and will shower you with loyalty in return.<br/><br/>He's crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained, and he's completely at ease with everyone he meets, men and women alike — he's spent plenty of time with our onsite team and the all-female vet staff who've cared for him.<br/><br/>Blue does have some ongoing care needs that come with being a senior — chronic ear issues that we actively manage with veterinary support — but nothing that gets in the way of his goofy, affectionate personality. We're happy to walk any interested family through the details.<br/><br/>Blue does well with some dogs, though slow, careful introductions are important — he needs time to adjust to new canine company. No cats for this guy. He hasn't been tested with kids or other animals, so we can't speak to those just yet.<br/><br/>Ideal Home:<br/><br/>An active family who can provide him with plenty of exercise and attention<br/>Someone comfortable with slow, careful dog-to-dog introductions<br/>A home without cats<br/><br/>Blue is neutered and up to date on his rabies vaccination.<br/><br/>Interested in adopting Blue?
