Hi, I’m Blue! I’m a 1-year-old male Catahoula Leopard Dog, weighing about 28 pounds, and I’m a sweet, gentle soul who just needs a little time to feel safe. I came to rescue from a kill shelter in Mississippi, where I was placed on the euthanasia list simply due to lack of space after being there longer than most. Thankfully, I was given a second chance — and I’m making the most of it.<br/><br/>I’ve done wonderfully with other dogs, staff, and even kids. I can be cat tested upon request. I’m calm, kind, and eager to please. When I first meet new people, I can be a bit unsure — I won’t bolt or act out, but I may move slowly toward you, taking my time to build trust. Once I realize I’m safe, my true personality shines through and I become an affectionate, loving companion.<br/><br/>I would thrive in a home with someone who’s willing to spend time helping me gain confidence and showing me that the world isn’t so scary.
