We are a local foster home based rescue.<br/><br/>Blue is a handsome boy who is dreaming of being someone's cherished family member. He became the neighborhood pup when he lost his home and he proved to be a friend to everyone. Blue would be happiest in a home where he will be included in all the family adventures. He loves car rides more than anything else and he has been known to invite himself into unknown cars just to go for a ride. He would be a fantastic companion for someone who drives for a living....he is the best sidekick!<br/><br/>Blue has lived with dogs and enjoys the company of small dogs. We don't know if he has had any experience with cats, therefore, any cats in the home should be dog savvy and have a safe place to observe Blue while he adapts to his new surroundings. Young children can be quick and unpredictable, therefore, we are asking for a home without children under 12 years of age. Blue is a gentleman in the house and can be found napping on the couch while he waits for his next big adventure with his person. <br/><br/>Here is what his foster family has to say about Blue..."Blue is doing great. Stays in his crate without a problem. Pretty quiet, except for the typical Shepherd warning barks. Patrols the perimeter of the yard multiple times a day. Not looking for a way out, just checking everything is as it should be. Loves to play with all kinds of toys and doesn't destroy the soft toys! Blue walks well on the harness. A sweet boy. Likes to be outdoors. Worships the sun." <br/><br/>Blue received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He was also treated for an ear infection. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. Blue is 8 years old and weighs 62 pounds.<br/><br/>Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog.
