Blu's Story
Blu is a beautiful four-year-old dog with a heart as big as her 65-pound frame. She carries the quiet strength of her unique mix—German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Doberman, Labrador, and Catahoula Leopard Dog—but beneath that, there’s a softness that reveals her gentle, submissive nature. Blu has spent the last two years in an outdoor kennel, waiting for her chance at a real home. This long period of isolation has left her shy, and though she warms up slowly, once she trusts you, she will never leave your side.
Blu has missed out on so much—simple comforts like a soft bed, a warm house, and the security of a family. After spending so much time in a kennel, she may need a little guidance with housebreaking, but with patience and love, she will undoubtedly thrive. Blu longs for the chance to be part of a family and would be a loyal, loving companion for both children and adults alike.
Blu doesn’t always get along with her sister, and after the loneliness she’s endured, it’s clear that she would do best as the only pet in her new home. She deserves the chance to finally be someone’s whole world. With her love of running and exploring, a home with a large, securely fenced yard would give her the space she craves.
She’s already spayed and up-to-date on her rabies shot, so Blu is ready for a fresh start with the family who will give her the love and attention she’s been missing for so long. If you think you could be the one to offer Blu her second chance, please text Carmen at 256-677-3283.
