Blossom (Please read my description thoroughly I am in a holistic rescue)'s Story
Blossom was surrendered to us back in the Summer, her original owner no longer wanted her and rehomed her to a couple that were not her energy level. After a day and no decompression, she escaped and when the new owner grabbed her, she snapped at him. They tried to give her back to the original owner, but she did not want her back, her husband no longer wanted a dog, and they had babies as well so no time for blossom and they kept her in a crate. So, the new owners scheduled her to be euthanized without any assessment at MHS, unless a rescue was willing to take her in and we could not let Blossom die because she was betrayed and misunderstood. Blossom enjoys her home-made diet, and we are seeking adopters that will continue on with their current diet. Proper nutrition is very important, and kibble has so many harmful and toxic things put into the processor. A very education video is by Dr Karen Becker DVM titled Pet Fooled. We highly recommend every pet parent watches it.

When it comes to feeding time and walking Blossom does bark until she is fed, and the walks starts. She lets you know she is ready for some good eats and long walks. Blossom needs someone who will allow her to decompress. When she came into the rescue, we kept a leash on her and let her watch us so she knew she was safe and could trust us. She needs to be approached slowly but once she gains trust she is completely fine.

Blossom loves to sleep on the bed with you. At first, she stayed in the living room but when she realized everyone was sleeping on the bed she wanted to join in as well. She is very loving and is looking for someone who will understand her and go slow with her so she can trust you on her time.

We are a holistic rescue, and we seek out like minded adopters who will not over vaccinate them, especially seniors do not need them, but a titer test will show the vaccine is still active. We are also happy to teach others as well. So, if you are looking for a sweet senior that enjoys spending time with you and walks that will feed proper nutrition as well as treat holistically Blossom is your girl!

All our dogs are seen either by Sheppard Alternative Animal Care or Natural Healing Pet Care. They are on Dr Harveys Mix and Artisian Mix by Grandma Lucy's and fed a protein with the mix. We are seeking like-minded adopters who will continue to keep their bodies healthy and clean. We have reached over vaccinating and will do titer testing for our dogs. We have researched pet food as well and a great educational source is Dr Karen Becker DVM documentary titled Pet Fooled which can be found on You Tube. This rescue goes the extra mile so you can have the healthiest dog possible. We understand many people do not know about holistic care and if you are willing to learn then we are willing to help educate you. If you are not willing to learn or continue with proper nutrition and holistic health care unfortunately, we are not the rescue for you.

Please note we will not consider adopters that vaccinate on a yearly basis, feed kibble or any of the store-bought foods in corporate chains. We have educated ourselves on over vaccinating and proper nutrition and we in good conscious cannot adopt out to anyone who will undo our hard work now that we have regulated their bodies as much as possible to its natural state.
