Blizzy's Story

Welp. Our Blizzy girl is officially back up for adoption. We thought we had the BEST home for her, but the family found another sweet boy that needed help.

SOOOOOO. She's had her knee surgery that cost $2500.00 (not sure how I'm going to pay for this just yet). She's having her follow up appt this week and she should be cleared to go back into a home.

She's currently in Foley, Al. We need to find a placement for her asap!!!!

Hey y'all, I'm Blizzy
And I just might be the sweetest Southern belle you'll ever meet.

They say I'm a female American Bulldog mix weighing in at 65lbs. I'm only 3 years old.

When I arrived, I had ear infections, a skin infection from neglect and a painful eye condition called double entropion. My lashes curled into my eye, making me bat them constantly and leaving everything irritated. I've since had surgery, and now my beautiful eyes don't hurt anymore. I feel so much better.

But here's the honest part-I just had knee surgery so after a few more weeks, I'll be a brand new girl ready to play again.

I'm absolutely obsessed with kids. I help my foster mom look after her three, and I adore them. When I first got here, I was nervous around other animals, but I'm learning that dogs aren't so bad with proper introductions. Cats, though... well, let's just say we've agreed to avoid each other.

I love a cozy bed and think I should be allowed on the couch, but apparently "house rules" exist. Thankfully, a kind donor got me my very own bed, and it's my favorite spot in the world.

I've come such a long way since my foster mom took me in. I'm learning my manners, understanding boundaries, and soaking up every bit of love and safety that comes my way.

I'm spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on monthly preventatives. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love and a story full of hope, I'm right here waiting for you.

Apply here: https://forms.zohopublic.com/nhrescueinc/form/ApplicationForm/formperma/mvnbaiv4DZWR4D4i_DNWqwFWqFU5ozOxvCdwps5a_BY
