BLIZZARD's Story

Blizzard – Adult-Only Blizzard is a big, active, intelligent boy who is looking for the right home to help him thrive. He enjoys staying busy and would love an adopter who enjoys long walks, hikes, and an active lifestyle. He’s playful, quick to learn, and has a fun personality — but he also needs structure, consistency, and appropriate outlets for his energy. Blizzard does well with other dogs and may enjoy having a confident canine companion. Due to his size and energy level, Blizzard is not suitable for a home with children. We are seeking an adult-only home, no exceptions. This special boy will do best with an experienced adopter who understands large dogs and is committed to setting him up for long-term success. Adoption Requirements Apply for consideration to adopt at www.rdrne.org. You must be at least 25 years of age and live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives.

Please, when thinking of adopting a new pet, consider not only monetary needs of adding a pup to your home, but also the time involved with any new animal. You have a life and want to add this dog to your existing routines - this dog will depend on you and you ARE their life. A puppy is cute and adorable but understand that he/she will grow up and then what? Hopefully you will cherish every moment your new pup has on this earth with you. It is not a toy and not something you can just play with for awhile and then get a newer cuter model. This is a lifetime commitment you are making to an animal. You can visit our private facility once we have your application (links to applications can be found on our website, www.rdrne.org). We have appointments every day, 7 days a week, between noon and 4 pm. We look forward to meeting you!
