I'm Blaze — a 5-year-old, 68 lb Australian Shepherd with the sweetest disposition. I've been recovering from TPLO knee surgery since September, and guess what? I'm fully healed, feeling fantastic, and READY to run, play, and love my new family. <br/><br/>I'm currently living my best foster life in Nashville, TN, but those stairs here aren't ideal for my new knee... so it's time for me to find a home where I can thrive. <br/><br/> A little more about me:<br/><br/> Came from a loving home with a child + another dog (they moved across the country and couldn't take me)<br/><br/> Neutered, vetted, microchipped & fully up-to-date on shots<br/><br/> Protective in a sweet way — I'll let you know if the Amazon guy shows up <br/><br/> A bit wary of strangers at first, but once I know everything's safe... prepare for cuddles<br/><br/> I go into my crate like a perfect gentleman<br/><br/> My favorite place to sleep? Right beside your bed<br/><br/>‍ LOVE walks — short to medium ones are great. Scent-faris are my jam. I happily step right into my harness everytime!<br/><br/> Great at “sit,” love tug-of-war, enjoy fetching toys, and yes... I sometimes chase birds <br/><br/>‍ I do well with other dogs as long as they don't try to steal my toys<br/><br/> I'm amazing with kids (just not tiny toddlers), and I adore being petted by the neighborhood crew<br/><br/>I'm loyal, loving, and just want to hang near my humans. I'll follow you room-to-room, but I'm not a furniture or bed guy — the floor next to you is perfect for me. <br/><br/>I'd really shine in a small family that wants a protective, sweet, gentle companion who's always excited to see them.
