Hey there, I’m Blaze, a 1yo Chihuahua looking to find my forever human(s) to cuddle, bond with and love!

A little snip-it of my favorites – I enjoy cuddling, obviously, refereeing my foster siblings’ wrestling matches, eating cheese and sleeping! My foster mom and I have training sessions each afternoon to learn some new commands and tricks. As a reward, I get cheese! Then it’s cuddle time!

I wake up each day ready to help my humans decide what to wear and then join them for breakfast. I enjoy a wet food diet (no hard food or hard treats) followed by a nap on the couch. My all-time favorite nap spot? The sunniest spot on the deck! I fall more on the side of low activity, enjoying strolls around the backyard and a light walk after dinner.

Me and cats – not such a good idea. I have been living with some, but we stay separated because I love to chase them and get myself into trouble. I don’t want to hurt them, but I really seem to stress them out. Dogs though, I’m cool with, especially ones with high social IQs. I really appreciate when they respect my space, because while I am okay being around them, I don’t like to play.

I am a Chihuahua and by nature, I heart my humans to the moon and back. I also love having my humans with me all the time – they are my favorite. I would love a quieter home with a well-established routine, and with older children, if any at all. I am tolerant of kids if they respect my boundaries.

Perfect scenario is snuggling up on the couch or a sunny spot on the deck; hopefully my new humans will like doing that too! If you are looking to devote love and lots of time to a cutie on four legs, I’m your guy!


**I have an upper respiratory infection that is getting treated and in the next year I will probably need dental work**





His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.

Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
