We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. <br/> Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. This 2.5-year-old Border Collie mix has attended multiple adoption events and handled them like a total pro. Whether it’s meeting energetic kids, calm adults, or other dogs, Blanche is consistently the most charming girl in the room.<br/><br/>🏠 The Perfect Roommate<br/>After spending some time in the shelter, Blanche has realized exactly what she wants in life: You. While she has plenty of Border Collie smarts, her current mission is simple: find a person to love, lean on, and hug.<br/><br/>Why Blanche is the "Final Piece" to Your Puzzle:<br/>Event-Tested & Approved: She’s been out in the "real world" at events and thrives! She is social, polite, and with dogs of all shapes and sizes.<br/><br/>The Signature "Blanche Crawl": She’ll still sneak up on you with her famous belly crawl—it’s her way of making sure you’re paying attention to her beauty.<br/><br/>Mandatory Hug Breaks: On walks, she will occasionally stop just to make sure you’re still there for a snuggle.<br/><br/>Ready to Run (Then Nap): She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard or some property where she can zoom off her energy before settling down for a long afternoon movie marathon.<br/><br/>📋 The Vital Stats:<br/>Behavior: House-trained, leash-savvy, and incredibly smart.<br/><br/>Social: Great with older kids, adults, and other dogs.<br/><br/>Health: 50 lbs, spayed, heartworm negative, and fully UTD on all vaccines/preventatives.<br/><br/>Blanche is a "delight" in every sense of the word. She just needs a family patient enough to let her settle into a new routine.
