Blake's Story

Blake is an adorable 2-year-old, 35-lb cattle dog mix pup. He’s sweet, intelligent, food-motivated, and eager to please.

Blake is crate-trained, house-trained, and knows sit, stay, and drop it. He loves walks, car rides, and being with his people. He’s great with other dogs—he zooms and wrestles with his foster siblings—and he’s respectful with cats (though he may try to play).

He’s as sillly as they come – flopping over for attention, nuzzling on your chest for affection, jumping and tap dancing in the excitement of going out.

Blake is naturally a bit shy and needs a little time to warm up. He’s especially cautious with unfamiliar people in the house and may bark at first. He is not aggressive—he simply prefers his familiar circle. His foster family is helping him build confidence by giving him a safe place to retreat to and working on positive reconditioning. He’s already showing improvement and coexisting calmly with guests after some adjustment and training period. This is very manageable as long as his adopter continues the routine.

Blake will thrive with someone dog-savvy who can offer gentle structure and patience. If you’re looking for a smart, loving companion who bonds deeply with his family, and is up for any adventure – hike, fetch, tug, chase – Blake is the perfect match.

Blake REQUIRES a fenced in yard.

To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
His adoption fee is $250, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.
