Blade's Story

Hello, my name is Blade, and I am one handsome pup; the newbie at Moonsong Malamute Rescue. I am black and white (like a penguin) and have one blue eye and one brown eye, which are the perfect combination to view my future home through! The shelter staff where I came from aged me around two (2) years old and I am neutered (whatever that means).

I am extremely grateful to Moonsong for saving my life, literally. I was picked up as a stray and ended up in an overcrowded shelter, with my time about to come to an end. And then all of a sudden, …ZOOM! I was off to the races on a complex transport into Moonsong’s loving care. I’m learning so much so quickly; my Moonsong friends say that I am very, very sweet and so excited to learn new things! I have a lot of energy, so zoomies, walks, and hikes are definitely on the top of my list of favorite things to do. I will need to continue working on my obedience skills, as honestly, nobody in my former life ever worked with me on those. The shelter I came from did mention that I was potty trained…so, less work for woo! Oh, and I also really like food; treats are my kind of thing. More than anything, I would love to curl up in your lap and share a dinner together. We could watch sled dog races, animal planet, or anything you like!

Moonsong is still learning a lot about me, so I hope you’ll stay tuned, or better yet, will consider fostering or adopting me as I have so much love to give. I am eager to please you, and can’t wait to start on my next life adventure with woo!

Note – Moonsong is still learning much about Blade, and will continue to post updates as we learn more about this beautiful young male Siberian Husky. The shelter he was pulled from reported that he did well with most other dogs, but does seem to have a dominant personality. BONUS – Blade seems to be cat neutral and may be able to live with a cat.
