B / BW / Blackwater This sweet angel goes by many names at her foster home and I get the feeling that as long as you are calling her best friend you could change her name to anything you'd like<br/><br/>Blackwater was surrendered by her owner at 5 years old to an overcrowded shelter and was pretty heartbroken when she first arrived to Colorado on the rescue intake. <br/><br/>She is a brilliant and sensitive girl and being abandoned hurt her deeply<br/><br/>Despite her pain, BW is doing such a fantastic job at adapting to life in Colorado.<br/><br/>She LOVES other dogs, her and my 6 month old puppy have a blast playing together in the yard. She lets him jump all over her without a care in the world <br/><br/>You can really see her relaxing and staring to let herself feel joy again when she is out in the fresh air and playing <br/><br/>Blackwater is great at walking on a leash and her recall is incredible. She wants to be a good girl and a companion above all and never wants to disappoint her family. <br/><br/>We have cats and you could tell that she did not live with them before, but she quickly learned that they are family members and now stays completely still and looks to us when they pass by <br/><br/>She gets along well with both boy and girl dogs at adoption events and doesn't seem to mind their size either, she is just as happy to play with a little puppy as a boy that is bigger than her!<br/><br/>BW is extremely smart and trainable. I think she would be great at agility or learning a dance <br/>We are trying to break her habit of jumping up on my hip to show love, it's a very gentle jump and makes me feel like she had a strong connection before with someone and has been trained to do this <br/><br/>This girl is your Velcro love bug, she is never destructive, great with sleeping in her crate and great at listening she is the perfect family member and loves and cares for you so much that it is therapeutic just to be in her presence
