What is California City Animal Control’s adoption process?

If interested in adopting a pet from the California City Animal Shelter, call 760-373-1115 or email: Calcityanimalshelter@gmail.com. Currently, adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $75 for cats. This covers the spay/neuter, 1 yr rabies, 1 yr city license and a micro-chip. In the event a female dog is over 65 lbs or a male is over 75 lbs, our local vet will not do the surgery at these costs. You will be required to provide a $50 cash refundable deposit and the overall fees will be reduced by at least $50 In order to have the $50 refunded, proof of the spay/neuter must be provided to the shelter via email.
