Bitty's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bitty is possibly a beagle mix as she is SO tiny, but of course she has a large personality. She’s super cute when she gets the biggest toy she can find and prances around with it. Then she'll wait for the door to open and she'll take it out and bury it. She also likes to do this little boxing thing where she stands on her hind legs and hits your hand with her paws. Bitty likes to bark at the TV when there's a dog on there, even if the dog's not barking. But she does get nervous and will sometimes run from loud noises. Bitty gets along fine with the other 4 dogs in her foster home and has done well with the cats as well. She's made good grades in house training --not perfect, but overall good. She sleeps in her crate with the door closed from 10:00 pm until 6:30 am. She fusses a little bit sometimes when she first goes in, but then calms down and goes to sleep. She has a high energy level, especially in the morning. She'll run around like crazy and play with toys until she gets it out of her system. She loves to play with her toys, throwing them in the air and chasing them, but she is not possessive of them. Bitty can be quite cuddly when she does calm down, and not pushy when another dog is getting attention. She loves to be outside and explore but we're not sure about her leash skills since her foster home has a fenced yard. Bitty is heartworm positive and her treatment is scheduled mid-May.
