Bishop's Story

Bishop is a sweet dog and in a home, he shines. He is friendly and LOVES human attention. He enjoys cuddling on a bed or laying across your lap. Giving him belly scratches is like giving him a piece of heaven.

Bishop was dog friendly at the shelter and came in with a small dog. In his foster home, he had good interactions with the resident dog. He is VERY curious about the cat and more time is needed to say he is cat friendly.

Bishop is crate trained. He goes in easily especially with a treat. Once in the crate, he quiet even with action going on outside of the room, including hearing other dogs. When you approach his crate, he is submissive and gives you his belly. He is potty trained.

On the leash, he pulls and needs continued guidance there. When we passed other barking dogs, he did not pull or react to them.

Right now as he is gaining weight and recovering from illness, he prefers to stick close to his human. He does get the zoomies now which are cute. He most enjoys lounging with his person. At night, he sleeps in a human bed and is quiet.

He knows sit and down and takes treats gently. He rides well in the car.

His ideal home is a place that loves their dogs to be close. He loves to go on a walk but is also content chilling with you.
