Bishop's Story

Meet Bishop!

Bishop may only be 5 months old, but this handsome 7-pound Chihuahua has already overcome more than most puppies ever should.

Bishop came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation involving 130 dogs, where Animal Rescue Corps helped ensure every dog found safety with rescues across the country. He was the youngest of the group that came to Deeby's, and now he's discovering what it's like to simply be a puppy.

And what a puppy he is!

Bishop is full of happy, bouncy energy and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Like many puppies who didn't have the best start in life, he's still learning that food and toys don't have to be guarded. With patient guidance, positive reinforcement, and a consistent routine, he's making wonderful progress and learning that there's always enough to go around.

His foster mom has been working hard on potty training and socialization, and Bishop is blossoming a little more every day. He's comfortable in a crate, rides well in the car, and is soaking up all the new experiences that come with living in a loving foster home. He's still unsure about walking on a leash, but at his age, he has plenty of time to build confidence.

Bishop is looking for a family that understands puppies need patience, structure, and lots of love. In return, he'll bring endless entertainment, joyful zoomies, and a lifetime of companion.

Please apply here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DBSR/Dog

His minimum adoption donation amount is $375. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm checked, and on flea/tick and heart worm preventatives.

We are located in Bloomington, IL
We do not ship, you would need to travel to pick up your babies if you live out of state.
Your current pets must be up-to-date on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, and on heart worm prevention year round.
