Bishop's Story

Congratulations... you've met Bishop.

Those giant eyes? They're not judging you. (Okay... maybe a little.) They're just making absolutely certain you remembered the treats.

At approximately 10 years young, Bishop recently found himself at the shelter after his owner had to surrender him due to a new job and not having enough time to give him the life he deserved. Losing your family after a decade together is hard, and we're determined to help this sweet senior write a happier next chapter.

Now... let's address the elephant in the room.
Bishop does come with a little bit of "lore."
He reportedly has a bite incident on his record. According to his previous owner, Bishop, his owner, a friend, and another dog were approached by a stranger. During the encounter, Bishop lunged, became tangled in his leash, and the previous owner believes the other dog—not Bishop—was responsible for the bite. However, because that dog had a previous bite history, the incident was ultimately reported as Bishop being the instigating/biting dog.

Since we were not present and have only been provided conflicting information, we want to be transparent and share exactly what we've been told so potential adopters can make an informed decision.

As for what we've seen?
Bishop has BIG feelings behind kennel bars.
