I am a 2-year-old, house trained English Cocker Spaniel boy looking for a new home with an experienced adopter and someone who will not leave me alone for long time periods. I have behavioral issues including resource guarding, fear-based aggression issues and separation anxiety. All of these can be addressed with behavioral modification.

I was rescued by this family from someone who couldn't keep me anymore. These folks haven't had me very long but have young kids and due to my issues don't feel like I am a good fit for them. They tried to contact my previous owner, but they won't take me back. I can be a sweet, cuddly, loving boy and I love to play ball. You will need to work with me and also be able to afford the costs to take me to someone who can help me with my issues. These folks want me to find the best home with someone who can help me to thrive in a home environment. My ideal home will be with adults only or a family with older teen children. No small kids, and a fenced yard is a plus. There is an adoption fee to make sure I get a good home with someone who will follow through with my care.

Contact information is as shown above. I am an unneutered male. You must get me neutered within 30 days of adoption.

Adoption Fee $300

Charlotte Cocker Rescue of NC, Inc's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process begins with an adoption application. Our board members will review all applications and contact you via email ASAP. We strive to match the best possible homes with the cockers we have in rescue that meets your family's needs. We do not do trial adoptions as it simply is not fair to the new families and to the rescue kids. Our beliefs are that the rescue animals deserve a second chance and our volunteer foster families provide a tremendous service helping us access each dog’s personality. By fostering them first, we are able to place them in a loving home with many details to their habits, likes and dislikes, and whether they do well with other pets and/or children. We do our very best when matching our rescue kids to the families adopting them. Once an application has been approved and the applicant's references checked, we will make arrangements for you to come meet your potential new family member. We encourage
