Biscuit was found by a farmer feeding cows in January and he was tangled in the barbwire fencing with his lead line - Biscuit never once snapped or growled at Staff who freed him from the fence line! We currently have many sweet young and loving pit bull “type” dogs who desperately need out of our shelter. We are hoping you’d consider taking on any of these sweet souls <br/>They will come to you neutered, spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm negative. <br/>The most urgent pups we’d love to see get their chance at beautiful lives need be moved to foster or be pulled by a rescue by Sept 2nd. In addition, there are 29 others ready to go as well. None of these dogs deserve to grow up in a shelter and the 11 who will finish heart worm treatment most certainly should not come back to a rural shelter with limited resources. <br/> There are no pull fees – just donation based on what your Rescue can spare, and we will need help with transportation whether it is by air, Van or a relay Transportation. <br/> We have little to no resources and need the help of others outside our community to get these dogs out of here. The shelter is open to the public and we do occasionally find suitable adaptors/homes in of our community. Unfortunately, many do not have the means to care for them - maybe feed but not vet or preventive care. <br/> Bullock County Humane Society is located 2.5 hours from Atlanta, GA and only minutes from the GA Stateline. <br/>We are desperate for a PARTNER to send dogs to, way out of the South, where laws are better for animals.<br/> Upon intake, the dogs are tested for HW, spayed/neutered, placed on HW and Flea prevention, rabies shot, annual or puppy shots, and Bordetella and will provide their medical charts for your review.
