Birdy's Story

Birdy is a happy go lucky heeler mix! When we pulled her from the euthanasia list at a rural pound, we thought she was just 3-4 months old because she's so little. She had her first vet visit and the doctor thinks she's closer to 6 months old! Regardless of her age, she is happy, healthy and so sweet! Birdy is an active girl and absolutely loves playing with other dogs and loves her humans too. She has never met a stranger! She knows sit, down, shake and will be a super easy dog to train. She is extremely smart and very food motivated! She absolutely loves water so a pool or a kiddie pool would be great for her! She is such a smart loving girl! She is kennel trained, we are working on potty training and she absolutely loves car rides!! Her ideal home will have a fenced yard so she can run and play safely to burn off some of her energy. A young active dog to play with, an active family to take her hiking and other outdoor adventures. Lucky Chance Rescue's Adoption Policy

All adoptions require a completed application on our website at https://luckychancerescue.com/adoption-application. No Exceptions! IF you call or email about a dog or cat listed here, we will tell you an application is required to proceed. Please be sure to complete the application prior to any email or phone inquiries. Once you submit your application it will be sent to the foster and adoption coordinator for review. Upon approval of your application, a home visit and meet & greet will be scheduled. We adopt within (60 miles) of St. Louis/St. Charles areas to make transportation feasible for our fosters and volunteers. We do not offer same day adoptions or out of state adoptions!
