Birdie's Story

Birdie unfortunately was dumped somewhere in WV and thankfully, a kind Samaritan kept her safe for two days until the warden was able to secure placement for her. The petite stunner will look even better -- if that's possible -- with a few extra pounds. Her brown ticking, freckling her white coat, might conjure up Pointer or Brittany in her breeding, but clearly she has that blocky noggin and stout bod that point to some bully breeds.

She is gentle and walks beautifully on a leash. Medium-size and from first impressions is probably around 2 years old. Currently Birdie is stressed out surrounded by all the new dogs, but once she adjusts in a few days, we will be better able to determine if she would be companionable with any other dogs.

You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

Link to application: https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Dog-Application.pdf
