Birdie's Story
Meet Birdie, a 6-year-old, 57 lb sweetheart with the happiest smile and the gentlest soul.

Birdie joined us after retiring from breeding, and she’s been blossoming more and more each day. She’s doing wonderfully with her housetraining and just needs a patient family to continue cheering her on. She may have an occasional accident here and there, but she’s truly trying and making great progress.

Birdie does well in her crate when her people aren’t home. At night, she sleeps loose in her foster parents' bedroom and does beautifully, often choosing her favorite ottoman at the end of the bed as her special spot. While she can be shy at first and needs time to warm up to new people, once you’ve earned her trust, she becomes a total Velcro girl. She’ll quietly stick by your side, happy just to be near you.

Mealtime is her favorite time of day, and she loves treats, though if she’s feeling unsure, she’ll politely decline until she feels safe. Birdie has the most adorable personality, making the silliest little noises and howls that will absolutely make you smile. Despite her funny sounds, she’s not a loud dog overall.

She has done wonderfully with other dogs. Leash training is coming along nicely, though cars and walking under bridges can still feel a bit scary for her. With gentle encouragement and consistent practice, she’s getting braver every day.

Birdie is truly an absolute love. With patience, kindness, and a calm home, she will flourish into the most devoted and loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful girl who will reward your love with endless affection (and the best smile ever), Birdie just might be your perfect match.

Birdie REQUIRES a home with another confident dog and a fenced in yard. She would be best suited for a family with children 13 or older because sudden, loud movements scare her.

To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
Her adoption fee is $600, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.
