Then when I couldn't make enough puppies for them anymore, they discarded me, took my last litter and I was evicted; but don’t be sad!<br/><br/>This is the best thing that could have happened to me! Now I live in a warm house with caring people and other dogs that have the same story as I do. I must admit, it took me a little while to trust these people but now I follow them everywhere, lean in for cuddles and thoroughly enjoy a belly rub or a head scrub. I know how to do stairs, and I have not had one accident in the house. Apparently I need regular grooming. I love being brushed and I was super good in the bath too. Foster mom tells me I’m a very good girl.<br/><br/>And now, a few words from my foster mom:<br/><br/>Birdie arrived here unsure of what was happening and expecting the worst. She preferred the comfort of her crate for the first few days and then with the guidance of her furry foster sisters, she started coming around and wondering what all the fuss was about when dogs were lined up for treats and gentle pats. Birdie now shows up and eats her meals, goes outside on her own, travels up and down the stairs and when she comes in from potty business, she is known to do zoomies! Birdie has shown interest in toys and happily, she now seeks affection from people. It’s wonderful to see her come around. Birdie’s foster mom works from home, and this would be ideal in her new home as well. She will also need a confident fur pal-not too tiny as Birdie is a good-sized girl who likes to play with her fur buddy. She will need a fenced yard please; due to the snow and freezing temps, she has not been introduced to leash walking yet. Building trust with a dog takes a little time but they are so forgiving and once the foundation is made, they are loyal for life. This is our sweet Birdie.
