Binx's Story

Binx, previously Rascal, came to us after being found at a rest stop. According to original owner, Binx is a chewer. He can be very stubborn, but the original owner acknowledged that he was still a puppy and needed some time and training. Binx loves to play and is toy motivated. Binx seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, and he loves to run. The original owner stated that Binx would usually stick right by his side. Binx is not dominant, but the previous owner states he wouldn't specifically call Binx submissive but more an equal and very loyal. Binx's original owner stated that whoever adopts Binx would be lucky to have him. Binx was adopted out briefly and returned to us after he proved to be too strong for the owner to handle. New prior owner stated that Binx is a great dog but would do better in a home with a yard and not an apartment setting. Binx loves to play and run and has lots of puppy energy and is very strong. Binx knows sit and he knows "cage". Binx's most recent owner also stated that he is a very sweet and loving dog. Per kennel staff, Binx is NOT leash trained, does run, and needs to run. Binx will require training and needs an energetic family. If there are kids in the home, they will need to be older; not because he's aggressive, but because he is rowdy. He loves other dogs and would benefit from another high energy dog. He does know how to sit and knows how/when to go in the kennel despite not wanting to and is not suited for apartment living because of his energy. Binx is very food motivated in addition to being toy motivated and will require a lot of obedience training to tame his fervor for life.
