Bingo's Story

My name is Bingo. I am what you think I am - a Cattle Dog or other people may call me a Heeler. Same thing! I am pretty classic aren't I? I am 1 year old and about 40 lbs. I am totally filled out and full grown. I am a loyal and loving companion and a pleaser. I am great with dogs. I live with two female heelers and I took to them right away. My herding behavior comes out a bit when I am excited and playful. So it's probably best if the other dog is tolerant and has an easy going nature to deal with my goofiness. I am good on leash especially without a lot of things around me. I need some work on passing other dogs and people in close proximity. Like with the dogs, I am a TRUE herder - the tendency is strong! It's not something that can be trained out of me, but it can be tempered, redirected and I can learn that self control. I could 100% be your one an only dog. I am loyal and focused. I love to go for hikes and have been on a few jogs with my foster mom. I really enjoy it but no, I don't need a marathon runner. I do need a human or family that will keep me exercised and stimulated; not 24/7 but some nice brisk walks during the day and some time showing you my tricks will do. I will be your best buddy and happy to be your sidekick. I have spent time with older kids and absolutely loved it - they played fetch with me and it was perfect! Kids 12+ are what makes me feel the most comfortable. I am crate trained and housebroken, obedient and can't wait to learn new things! A yard is a huge plus for me and a single family home. I am located in CT. Here is a link to the application if you are interested in me! https://www.zivadogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs
