Billy<br/><br/>*Requirements* A secure fenced yard. Kids ok. Ok as an only dog. Dog savvy cats ok. Dogs ok. Must be active. <br/><br/>Sweet Billy is a young boy, no more than 2 years old and came to us from a local shelter after being picked up as a stay and not claimed. We suspect he was a beloved pet at some time and then ended up with a breeder as it was clear he has been living outside for some time. He’s on the smaller side, about 16 lbs. <br/><br/>Billy is a VERY high energy cavalier. He is not your typical couch potato cavalier! Billy loves to play fetch and will bring you the ball for hours. He can get destructive when he’s left alone but does great in a crate which he will need for when he’s not supervised. He is very puppyish! He would make a great hiking or jogging partner! With training I feel he could be great at agility or scent work. <br/><br/>Billy does like to cuddle when he’s worn out, and loves everyone he meets. He has never met a stranger and loves to meet new people. He walks ok on a leash but does pull, some additional training would be beneficial. He is great in the car but does think he needs to be in your lap, but with a car seat or seatbelt he’s a great little traveler. <br/><br/>Billy is fully crate trained and is doing well on his housetraining, but is not 100% yet. He will need patience as he adjusts to a new home and new schedule. <br/><br/>Billy is a wonderful boy with so much potential. We don’t know his story but he’s clearly been loved. It would be highly recommended for his forever family to do some obedience training with him. <br/><br/>Billy would do well in a variety of homes, but would not be a good fit with someone gone a lot, or someone who is not willing to give him plenty of exercise or play time.
