Billy's Story

Meet fun, easy going Billy! This one-year-old hound/ shepherd mix is a complete delight who walks great on leash and is non-reactive to others when walking down the street. Billy is also a buddy favorite at doggy day care!

Billy was rescued with his brother, Joel, shortly before they were scheduled to be euthanized due to no fault of their own. They were owner surrenders to a high-kill shelter, and their only crime was the terrible luck of being with humans who had done back-yard breeding. These two boys never found a home, so the human gave them up to be killed.

Luckily, they are the sweetest boys and have wonderful fosters who are helping them learn to be their best selves. Billy (and) Joel are being separated to hopefully increase their chances of finding forever homes. That means Billy is needing a new Joel to complete his identity. He has been waiting for The Longest Time and promises to love you Just the Way You Are. If you are ready to be his Uptown Girl (or Guy!) Please submit an application today to be able to meet this great boy.

He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and on preventatives. He is approximately 35lbs, and will continue to put on a little more weight since leaving the shelter. At one-year-old, we do not expect him to get any taller though. Billy is quickly learning good manners when greeting people (4 paws on the floor is best way to greet, even when excited to say hello!).

Billy located in Pittsburgh, PA.
