Billy's Story

Apply to Adopt Me!

Meet Billy—also known as “Sir Snacks-a-Lot." He is the definition of unconditional love.
Billy is truly the total package when it comes to a laid-back, loving companion. He is house trained and politely lets you know he needs to go out by standing quietly at the door—no barking or whining from this senior gentleman. He appreciates a simple routine and will wake once during the night for a quick bathroom break, but overall he’s a very low-maintenance boy.
Billy is leash trained, though he prefers short, slow walks where he can take his time sniffing and enjoying the world around him. His ideal day includes relaxing in a fenced backyard where he can soak up the sun, followed by plenty of cozy indoor lounging. He’s not into toys, but give him a soft bed and he’s in heaven.
He’s perfectly fine being in a crate, but he doesn't need to be; he prefers the freedom to roam a safe, open space. Billy is also a great car ride companion—he loves going along for the ride.
Billy gets along well with calm dogs, both large and small. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but his gentle and easygoing personality suggests he may do well with proper introductions. He is friendly with people, enjoys quiet companionship, and would likely do best in a home that matches his relaxed energy.
Now, let’s talk about what makes Billy extra special. He is a senior (estimated 12–13 years old and 72 lbs.) with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines. He does have some medical needs, including arthritis in his spine and weakness in his back end, dry eye, a skin condition that is under control with weekly baths, and some breathing issues mainly at night. However, with proper medication and care, Billy shows glimpses of his younger, playful self.
Billy does have an excellent nose, so food and trash should be kept secure—he’s a clever little foodie who will help himself if given the chance.
He was found as a stray and despite everything he’s been through, he remains incredibly loving, gentle and devoted.
What people will absolutely love about Billy is how effortlessly he becomes part of your life. He’ll curl up at your feet while you watch TV, follow you from room to room, and gently remind you to step outside and enjoy some fresh air. He doesn’t demand much—just love, comfort, and a place to belong.
Billy isn’t just a dog—he’s your built-in best friend, your quiet companion, your little sunbather, and your loyal heart in furry form. This old soul can't wait to find his forever loving home where he can enjoy the remainder of his days.
