What is TenderHeart & Great Pyr Rescue’s adoption process?

We do not offer transportation to other States and must meet the entire family when you come to adopt.  We also encourage you to bring other dogs to meet our adoptable dogs.If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues please go to our website to access our online pre-adoption application.  If you are interested in one of our Great Pyrenees you must complete the Great Pyr Questionnaire as well.  Both documents can be found at: www.TenderHeartRescue.webs.com ** WE DO REQUIRE AN EXCELLENT pet/vet history in order to adopt from our rescue.  We will verify that your pets (past and current) are up to date on all vaccines, heartworm prevention and spayed/neutered. **   This means you currently OWN  a DOG or have OWNED a DOG in the past and we can verify your pet care history.  PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE OUR APP IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EXCELLENT ESTABLISHED DOG/VET HISTORY. Very Important: ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED OUR APPLICATION AND PYR QUESTIONNAIRE (if interested in a Great Pyrenees) A VOLUNTEER WILL CONTACT YOU.  We must confirm your eligibility for adoption prior to responding. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be considered.  We must be able to contact your vet with correct owner and pet names given, etc. Any application without a vet reference will not be processed.
