Billie's Story
Billie will be 8 years old in June and tells us that, just like her namesake Billie Holiday, she is looking for some “Easy Living.” She is an 18-pound cavapoo that has been learning a world of freedom, love, trust and what being a cherished pet should be like.

Billie has been doing well with house training with regular outings outdoors, both on leash and in a fenced area. She loves affection, attention, being brushed, and snacks! She is slowly learning that toys are fun and prefers squeaky and plush toys. Since learning freedom from a puppy mill, she does not want to miss a thing or be kept in a crate. She is working on the commands sit and down. She is practicing 'down' regularly as she is curious and walks on her hind legs to see everything and everyone.

In her foster home she sleeps in a donut bed next to her foster mom, though would love to sleep in bed with her people if she had a say! Billie gets along with all adults and other mellow dogs, though she would do best in a home without cats. Being a poodle mix, she will require a home committed to keeping up on her grooming. It was noted at her last veterinarian visit that she has a 3/6 grade heart murmur. This murmur needs no intervention and causes her no issues, it will be monitored at yearly wellness visits.

North Paw Rescue told Billie “I’ll Look Around” to find her perfect home. This adoption fee includes: her alter, a microchip, her rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

If you think she may be perfect for you, please apply using the link below!

https://www.cognitoforms.com/NorthPawRescue/NorthPawRescueDogAdoptionApplication

**Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.

**We require a 60 minute adoption radius.
