Billie's Story
***PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE EMAILING***

***For a guaranteed response in less than 24 hours, EMAIL info@sweetliferescue.org***

Ohemgeeee, Billie! This unique (check out her siblings!) 11 week old, appx 10 lb ball of fluff is adorable, smart, sweet, energetic and curious. She will make a wonderful canine companion!

Here is what she needs in an adopter/adoptive home:

1. Her ideal adopter is dog experienced. If you've never owned a dog before, you must be willing to research and learn the basics of canine care and training. You must have experience and/or knowledge of the herding breeds which are unique and have their own quirks and needs. IYKYK!

2. Her adopter has a stay at home/work from home/take to work schedule in order to continue her training and all-important socialization.

3. Her dream come true is other dogs in the home as she LOVES other dogs. If she is the only dog (and gets allllll the attention) she would need access to other dogs in her neighborhood, at friends' houses, at doggie play group/daycare, etc (after 16 weeks of age).

4. Because of her age and typical herding breed puppy behaviors, we are not able to consider families with children under ten years of age.

Billie loves to play inside as well as outside with her siblings and with toys. She loves the tunnels and climbing toys in her foster's yard! Regarding exercise, she is currently walking with her foster every day and continued daily exercise is a MUST!

Billie has been dewormed, seen by our rescue Vet, received her first DHPP vaccine, and has been given her first dose of prescription heartworm and flea/tick preventative. She will need additional vaccines as well as additional prescription preventatives over the next few weeks/months. Her spay is the responsibility of her adopter and by Virginia law must be performed by six months of age.

Please note that Billie's adoption fee is $375.

Billie will have another Vet appointment on March 27 when she will receive her second DHPP vaccine. We hope to have her forever family waiting to take her home as soon after that as possible! A foster to adopt situation can be discussed if you live within a reasonable distance of Western Loudoun County. Please let us know if you are interested in this option when you email info@sweetliferescue.org for more information and a screening application.

***Regarding Billie's breed mix***

We have a photo of Billie's Mom (available on request) and she is definitely a Cattle Dog mix; Dad however, is unknown. We also see Border Collie in Mom. Billie's *precise* breed mix is unknown. We have listed her projected adult size as medium (26-50 lbs); we feel she will most likely be in the 50 lb range. We can make no absolute guarantees as to her size or appearance when she is fully grown.
