Billie's Story

Meet Billie
Billie is a 3-year-old pit bull who was surrendered because she was a bit too rambunctious for the small dog in her previous home. Her former owner emphasized that Billie does not show aggressive or high prey drive behaviors-she just has a playful energy that wasn't the right match for a smaller companion.

They shared that Billie may do best with a dog her size or larger, and she has not been around cats or children. She also isn't a fan of car rides, so that's something her future family should be mindful of.

Since arriving at the shelter, Billie has been timid but very sweet, showing a gentle and affectionate personality. Staff have observed that she is friendly, well-mannered, and allows all handling, making her easy to spend time with as she settles in.

Billie would thrive in a home that can give her time to build confidence, along with appropriate outlets for her playful energy. With patience and understanding, she will continue to blossom into a loving and loyal companion
