Bill's Story

Meet Bill!

Bills story began when he and his littermates were surrendered to rescue with their mother at just 4 weeks old. Of the five puppies, three were chocolate and were adopted very quickly. Bill and his brother Dan, the two black puppies in the litter, were sadly overlooked.

Bill has now spent his entire life in rescue and has never known what it feels like to have a home and family of his own.

Growing up in rescue has meant that Bill has not had all the socialization and experiences that puppies normally receive in a home. Because of this, he can be timid and unsure around new people. But Bill is not aggressive in any way—he simply needs time, patience, and consistency to learn that new people can be trusted.

Bill thrives on routine and responds beautifully to calm, repetitive interactions. Once he becomes comfortable with someone, you get to see the delightful, loving dog hiding behind that shy exterior. He has formed a wonderful bond with his foster and even enjoys sleeping in bed with them at night.

We believe Bill could especially thrive in a quiet home with a single person or someone who is willing to give him the time and patience he needs to adjust at his own pace. He isnt looking for someone to expect him to be perfect on day one—hes looking for someone willing to give him a chance.

Bill has waited his whole life for a family of his own. Maybe its finally his turn.
