Bijou is a one-year-old French Bulldog who came to Forever Friends from a high-kill shelter outside San Diego. She arrived pregnant and sadly lost her babies before rescue. After her recent spay, she’s taking a little time to settle in and decompress. She was slow to eat at first, but once comfortable, happily enjoyed canned food and continues to relax more each day.<br/><br/>Her name, Bijou, means “little jewel” in French — and it fits her perfectly. She is sweet, gentle, and enjoys being close to her people. As she continues to gain confidence, we’ll be learning more about the home that will suit her best.
